Boomer Barbie

Someone recently sent me a snap shot of an old friend, Barbie, yes, Barbie the doll. Wow, has she changed! I had a good laugh. Now, supposedly pleasingly plump, the chunky icon was anything but her slender stylish self. There she was, lying aloof on her bed with of all things, dolls. Imagine, a 50-year-old still playing with dolls. The room looked rundown, and snack full, where was Ken? Had he up and left town?


Ah, Coffee

Ah, … that first sip of coffee is so comforting. There's nothing quite like it. The entire cup is enjoyable but nothing compares to the first drink. The propaganda about coffee's addictiveness just might hold more water (truth) than what you would like to believe, but when that warm aromatic cup is in my hand; I don't care.

Age is something people claim sneaks up on them when really every moment contains the same number of seconds. Probably what they are referring to is the effects of aging, these are the sneaking culprits. No one wants to think of themselves as failing, ailing, or aging, but as the saying goes, thinking does not make it so, therefore there is no benefit in resisting reality.
