I have always liked products such as ours simply because they are so darn practical. As far as I'm concerned anything that relieves "frustration" is golden in my books. When you have a disability, or experience a decline in abilities because of an accident, illness or aging, then frustration is a frequent visitor.
Although already disabled, just before I turned fifty my health became further compromised after a long stint with pneumonia. It forced me to take a long break from work activities and life as I knew it. Whew, it sure feels good to be back in the saddle.
Following that illness a wheelchair greeted me each morning along with a host of helping aids. Simple things like getting dressed now require that I use gadgets. I was already using some of these helpful tools because of the limitations of my physical disability, which by the way, is a neuromuscular disease called CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth). Walking, talking, gripping, breathing, just about any muscle system is fair game for this condition. It has made my life a challenge but not insurmountable with the right support.
I draw from my own personal experience with disability when selecting products for Boomazoo, but I also rely on knowledge I gained from my career as a social worker. Over the years I met and learned from people who lived with all sorts of different diseases and disabilities. Creating an arena online where this could continue seemed like a good idea.

The interesting thing about the products we offer here at Boomazoo is that although they are not products anyone truly "wants to need" they are products people are glad to have nonetheless.
